Why I love working with Seniors

There is something wonderfully unique about this season of life. Seniors stand right at the edge of adulthood, full of energy, big dreams, and the kind of excitement you can almost feel in the air. When I photograph them, my goal is to capture that spirit in a way that feels true to who they are. Every senior brings their own story, style, and vision, and I love the challenge of highlighting that individuality through creative posing, thoughtful lighting, or meaningful props. Photography has always been my passion, and working with such a vibrant group of young people is a blessing. Their stories, their confidence, and the dreams they carry never stop inspiring me.

All sessions include pre-session planning, a session at one location, and digital images.

*Full sessions include two nearby locations, but both must be completed within the session time.

*Additional locations incur a $25 travel fee and must also fit within the session time.

*A $50 travel fee applies to all sessions outside a 40-mile radius of Madison County.

*Additional digital files, prints, and products can be purchased separately. See à la carte options below.

Planning your Senior Session

To ensure amazing senior photos that truly reflect who you are, consider these tips: find the right photographer, choose a location with personal meaning and good lighting, wear outfits that reflect your style and consider the location and season, bring props that showcase your personality, consider professional hair and makeup, and most importantly, have fun and be yourself!

To plan the best session ever, simply click through the read the next arrow below.

LOCATION

When choosing a location for your high school senior photos, consider places that have personal meaning or significance to you. This could be a favorite spot in nature, a city street that you love, or even your own backyard. Make sure the location has good lighting and is easily accessible for your photographer. Don't be afraid to get creative and think outside the box to find a unique and special location that truly reflects your personality and style.

waRDROBE STYLING

When deciding what to wear for your high school senior photos, it's important to choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors and classic styles are always a safe choice, but don't be afraid to incorporate your own personal style and flair. Avoid busy patterns and logos, as they can be distracting in photos. Also, consider the location and weather when selecting your outfits. Bring a few options to the photo shoot and work with your photographer to determine the best choice based on lighting and background. Remember, these photos will be cherished memories for years to come, so choose outfits that make you feel your best.

Props

It's a great idea to bring props or accessories that represent your personality and interests. You can bring anything from a beloved book to a musical instrument. Don't forget to include your love for sports too! Bring your favorite jersey and we'll incorporate it into your session.

Hair & Makeup

Getting your hair and makeup done for your high school senior photos is completely optional, but it can enhance your overall look and make you feel more confident in front of the camera. Professional hair and makeup artists can help you achieve a flawless and polished look that will make your photos stand out. Plus, having your hair and makeup done can be a fun and pampering experience that will help you relax and enjoy the photo shoot even more. Ultimately, the decision to get your hair and makeup done is up to you, but it's definitely worth considering if you want to look your best for this special occasion. If you need any recommendations, feel free to ask me!
